Shoot against a contrasting background
Dark items against a light surface (or vice versa) make the AI's job easier. Avoid same-tone backdrops where the product visually blends in.
Enable Alpha Matting for jewelry and lace
Fine chains, threads, and translucent fabrics need the alpha matting model to preserve edges. Open advanced settings before processing.
Use a pure-white backdrop for Amazon
Amazon's main image must be pure white (#FFFFFF). Set the background colour to 255,255,255 in advanced settings to skip a Photoshop step.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work on reflective products like glass or metal?
Yes. The default model handles most reflective surfaces. For highly polished metal or clear glass, enable Alpha Matting and consider increasing the foreground threshold in advanced settings.
Will it remove the contact shadow under the product?
By default the AI removes the shadow along with the background. If you want to keep a soft shadow, add one back in your photo editor after downloading the cutout.
Is the output good enough for Amazon's main-image policy?
Yes — set the background colour to 255,255,255 (pure white) in advanced settings. Amazon requires the main image background to be pure white with no shadows around the product, which is exactly what you'll get.
What if the AI cuts off part of the product?
Try a different model in advanced settings. The default u2net works for most things; birefnet-general handles fine details better; isnet-general-use is sharper around hard edges like packaging boxes.
How many product photos can I process for free?
Three images per day for free, refreshed at 00:00 UTC. A pack of 100 credits is $4.99 one-time and never expires — useful if you're listing dozens of SKUs in a session.
Can I use the cutouts commercially?
Yes. You retain all rights to images you upload and the resulting cutouts. We don't watermark them, store them long-term, or train AI on them.
Will it handle multiple products in one photo?
Yes, the model treats everything non-background as the subject. If you only want one item isolated, crop the photo first or use the Return mask only option for manual touch-ups.
